Raw Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

Hi Jacinda! Here's my recipe:

1/4 cup raw peanuts (or a big scoop of peanut butter)
1/2 cup rice milk (or milk)
1 frozen or fresh banana
1/8 cup raw cacao powder
1 tbsp raw honey (or 3 or 4 dates, or agave nectar)
1 spoonful flax seeds (optional)
1 shake bee pollen (optional)
1 drop vanilla (optional)
handful ice

Blend and enjoy. It's better cold. I have also substituted an apple for the banana and I really liked that, too. It is hard to find raw peanuts. Look for "Spanish Peanuts," as in the type that are used to make homemade peanut brittle.

Just FYI - here are some nutrition facts on raw peanuts:

  1. Oh good, I was wanting this recipe too! We tried a "chocolate smoothie" with cacao powder and it was just awful. We had to end up adding peanut butter and ice cream to make it edible. : )

  2. yum! I want to try this one. Please make it for me and deliver.Lynn

  3. Just made this new favorite!!
