My First All Veggie Smoothie

Yesterday for lunch I made my first all veg smoothie.  I had cilantro, celery, romaine lettuce, half an avocado, flax seed and...
I had to cheat just a little bit because I didn't have fresh tomatoes so I used a few of these
I also added salt and pepper.  It was good, but I still like 50 green, 50 fruit best!

  1. You didn't cheat! Cooked tomatoes are preferable, since heat allows more desirable antioxidants in tomatoes to be made available to the body. When we make our "V8" style savory smoothies, we always use a can of whole peeled tomatoes. Yay!
